I had my first (left) Knee replaced on Oct 20, 2008. Dr. Martin did the surgery and I was at Nash Joint Replacement Center for 4 days. My time in the hospital was as close to home as it possibly could have been.
All of the people that I interfaced with were as kind and genuinely caring as possible. The therapist, the nurses, the assistants and the rest of the staff were there when you needed them and always had a smile on their faces. My recovery and experience was so good that my second knee replacement (right) was scheduled for Dec 16,2008. The first knee is well and I am progressing well on the second. Still in therapy with the second knee, it's only been 7 weeks with the right knee.
Dr. Martin again was the doctor that did the surgery. I had the pleasure of seeing a lot of familiar faces on the floor and the care was just as before, outstanding from all the staff at Nash. My experience was a little different the second time around as I had a friend that was on the floor in a room just across from me, Mary Darkins. She was in for a hip replacement and Dr. Martin was her surgeon as well.
Well we started out with a little competition in the distance of walking and this made the time go by quicker and we walked a lot further than we may have done on our own. Something to think about with others.
I cannot say enough about the care I received both times at the Nash Joint Replacement Center and I have recommended you to others at my plant that are considering joint replacements.
Thanks for the care provided to me and others. It surely means a lot when you are in the hospital and in a time of need for good care and a friendly face.

The Nash Joint Replacement Center is the best thing to happen to a hospital. My time at the Joint Center was quite an experience and I had a fantastic stay. First I was told while at the Joint Center it was desirable to have my care taker stay with me during my recovery time there. My daughter was by my side every minute after the replacement surgery of my left knee. Secondly was having the best doctors and nursing personnel a facility could have. I made a lot of friends during my stay at the Joint Center that I will never forget. While there, it did not feel like I was in a hospital, except for the white coats that kept coming by my room. I was thankful for each one that came by. They just make me feel as if I was really important to them and that was a great feeling.
During my four days at the Joint Center, I was made to feel very important and loved. Everyone did everything possible to keep me comfortable and free of pain. Each therapy session was very informative and fun. We learned everything we needed to keep us going until we could get into physical therapy care once we returned home. Our care takers were taught to help us with the therapy after we left the hospital. That was a true blessing, because my daughter stayed on me and helped with the exercises given to us. She and I were excited about going home and working to rehabilitate my knee. We both wanted me to walk again without help as soon as possible.
I recommend Nash Replacement Joint Center to anyone who may need the facility as I did. Once my left knee is well, I will visit with them again for the replacement of my right knee. It is amazing how much I am looking forward to that visit.
