Marian Sawyer
For years, Marian Sawyer's hip pain held her back. She hurt when she walked, went up and down stairs, got in and out of a car or played with her grandkids. The pain even forced her to change her exercise routine. Today, Marian is a new person. His knee often hurt so bad, he had to have an injection directly into the joint for relief. But, Bill Tomlinson’s doctor knew even this solution would eventually be of little use. Rosa Brodie
Like many patients, Rosa was slow to do anything about the pain that was so severe driving was nearly unbearable. Rosa just assumed the pain was caused by back problems. Her orthopedic surgeon offered an accurate diagnosis; the pain was from degenerated hip joints. After having her hip replaced, Rosa finally felt well enough to take a much-anticipated trip to Africa. “I would tell others not to endure the pain that’s holding you back.” She also adds that she used to be able to predict the weather from the pain in her hip—a job she’s happily traded in for a new one as world traveler thanks to NJRC.
